Alternative Ageing

They do say that Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year, however, it is also the busiest. I haven't had one moment to myself for what seems like months. But, then again i'm not complaining, i did choose to do all the things i am doing. I'm in my local pantomime as Tommy the Cat (Dick Whittington), I've been super busy choreography for PW Performers brand new elite dance group, also i'm making my way through a mountain pile of college coursework, plus loads more sporty evening activities. You could say i'm knackered  *sobs hysterically to self*

Anyway, moving on to the good stuff. My dear colourful friend Suzi, also known as 'Alternative Ageing' (blogger) invited me to her little birthday Christmas do this Sunday. It was a lovely evening filled with directors, make-up artists, fashion designers,  photographers the lot - conversation was easy to come by. Being an ex radio presenter and new acclaimed blogger Suzi has a lot of friends ;) I thought i'd share with you a few snippet of her little 'do', i hope you enjoy, just as much as i did!

For those of you in the older generation or just simply love vintage fashion and nutritious snacks make sure to check out Suzi's blog by clicking the link below.

Who's ready for Christmas then?

Stories Behind My Instagram Posts

I've been feeling rather autumnal lately those of you who check my instagram will already know this. Autumn is my absolute favourite season. Who couldn't love the warm winter jumper weather, the boots that walk across browns and yellows leaves, and even the amazing sun sets that make all of our Instagram pages 10 times more amazing. So anyway i thought i'd talk about what my photo's on my Instagram mean (the back stories basically).

1. Wyevale is a garden centre based in Brighton where they sell... well... garden stuff. But, a few days ago Wyevale had their Christmas special event in which my family and i were invited to. It was super cute, we all got mulled wine and mince pies, there was Christmas decoration everywhere you looked, it just felt a tingle of what's to come in December. When i was a child we all used to go up there and see Santa Claus and he'd give me a present but i wasn't aloud to open it until Christmas, it was always something silly like a colouring book or pencil case but the whole anticipation was always worth it. I used to and still love going up there.

2. The cat. Everyone knows i'm obsessed with cats and at one point i did have 7. Including this little munchkin, she was given to my Uncle to look after as he too is cat obsessed. However the poor little thing had a bit of an accident leaving her with a broken leg. My Uncle and his girlfriend had planned this half term to go away for a few days so he gave Sammy (the kitten) to us to look after. It's been quite a week, she's not aloud to jump off of things so of course she does, she has to sleep in a collar in which she can slip out from, and her bed for the past week has been a baby cot. She is a much loved kitty so the idea of having her put down was never an option. She is recovering well and has been an absolute sweetheart, but i am knackered now.

3. The selfie. I've been using my Naked Basic Palette to complete my make-up for this Autumn. Any eyeshadow that is purple, brown, orange, or neutral is a perfect finish for your look. You can find great tutorials on Youtube o if you're a little wobbly on how to do your eyes check some out. The tricks is to add a little at a time.

4. Lastly, the sunset. I took this on my way to work the other day at Hollingbury, i just thought the colours complemented my theme on Instagram and expressed the autumnal weather in one. All my photo's are taken on my Apple Iphone 5 and edited with the instagram filters. Just fiddle about with the brightness and hey presto you've got yourself a worthy insta pic.

Hope you all have a happy Halloween.

Falling Up Apparel

So I had the pleasure of being asked to promote some tee designed by the lovely Falling Up Apparel Team.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this top, The sleeves have been iron pressed so there is no hassle of rolling them up or fearing they'll roll down, they are simple and cool to wear. I like wearing this top to dance as it's a nice fit and brings some colour to my usual black attire. Stuff sells pretty quickly on their website so if you have any question or would like to order something that if 'sold out', DM them on instagram! (they reply within minutes)

Lady in Red

Quick update of what i've been up too recently. So i've been so busy with all sorts of work so i've had no time to actually sit down and look at my blog for ages. But it's ok i'm back and everything is settling now. I've started college too, i absolutely love the feeling of adulthood, i'm paying for travel, food, stationary. I know that doesn't sound appealing and actually it's taken a large chunk of money out of my bank account... but, i love the feeling of being independent. It's not everyone's cup of tea and can be really daunting but you get used to it, it's not so bad. It also doesn't mean you have to leave your family. I still like having cuddles and chats with my mum so nothing much has changed.

Anyway, this weekend my Grandma, Mum and I took a trip up to London to see Christopher Raeburn's fashion week collection. Yes, i was part of London fashion week! It's always been a dream to see a professional catwalk and even though i didn't get to see Kendall Jenner or Cara Delevinge i still had the most amazing experience. This was also one of the shows where you could go and buy all the new designer trends for half price. Which is wear i saw this gorgeous vixen red coat! I wasn't the cheapest of coats, in fact i'm going to have to work hard  to pay myself back. My account is probably screaming at me:  'whhyyyyyyy'. But it was worth it. I would certainly recommend going to one of London Fashion weeks events, because even if you don't like it, you do get some lovely free gifts ;) I know this has been short and very 'to the point' but unfortunately it was just a quick update i shall blog about fashion week later on in the week.

Hope you're all well

Singapore

So you've probably noticed i haven't blogged for what seems like ages, well that is because my family and I decided to take a little trip to see my cousins in Singapore. If you keep updated with my Instagram you'll already know how much of an amazing time i had. I thought i'd share with you few of my favourite moments.

The first day we got there after a 13 hours flight was pretty relaxed we did nothing but nap and swim. The next morning we went to Singapore's Bird Park where i came up close with this fella who was very keen on getting his photo taken. If i could have taken any bird home it would have been this guy and Chanel the Toucan (who i don't have a photo of).

A few days in we went to the most beautiful place called 'Gardens By The Bay', filled to the brim with exotic flowers, cacti, and this giant waterfall. This photo doesn't really show you the height very well but take my word for it, it was huge. Singapore can reach a temperature of 40 degrees something, luckily for us the highest it got was 34, but still it was hot and very humid (which means frizzy hair), my point is EVERYWHERE and i mean everywhere has air-con. This place in particular was freezing i had goose pimples the whole time!

My second favourite place in Singapore was the River Safari where they keep Inuku the Polar Bear and 2 of China's world famous giant pandas. It also has this cute little boat ride where you get to be real close to animals such as warthogs, flamingos and even jaguars. I am a big animal lover so these kind of things really appeal to me, plus it's not the right climate to laze about by a pool because you just get so damn hot.

The last thing i want to talk about and my most favourite place out of everything is 'Universal Studios'. Compared to the one in Orlando it's small and manly for kids, but it does have some pretty sick rides. Like this one called Battle-star Galactica Human (red) and Cylon (blue). The first one my cousin, brother and I did was Human which is a sitting down normal one and rather exhilarating. We then went on other rides like 'Mummy', 'Transformers', 'Shrek' and 'Madagascar'. But nothing compared to the Cylon ride. It had been a long day and we really wanted to achieve all the rides possible, this one the most. My brother was on the bridge of throwing up but we still found courage and went on. Now i'm a massive roller-coaster fan i can do all of the Thorpe Park rides in one day and feel nothing but excitement. But even Cylon was... well words cannot describe. Cylon literally threw you about, you went upside down numerous times, up and down at about 80 mph (exaggeration i don't know how fast it was). But if my brother was feeling slightly green to begin with you can imagine how he must have felt after. Still it was one of the best rides i've ever been on. I now need to travel to Orlando and go on there worst ride to compare.

Anyway, i'm back now so expect alot more posts, i'm thinking of doing a fitness post next for those of you interested in the best way to get healthier and fit.

Hope you all had a great summer holiday.
